♫It’s beginning to look a lot like Christmas♫…

Okay, let me back up to Sunday. I searched through the boxes in my closet and found the bag with my Christmas throws and pillows. I had my candy cane striped, Santa and Christmas tree candles. When Hubby got home from golfing, we went to get the tree out of storage. It wasn't right by the door anymore. It had been pushed back and boxes were stacked up beside it. We were able to get it out. The box of ornaments were another story. I think I know where they probably were but we couldn't see them and it would have taken a ladder to get to them.

So on Monday I got the tree put together. We have a pre-lit tree with multi-color lights, but we always add a couple of strands to that. I met Hubby at T*rget when he got off work, and we picked up some lights and a few candy cane ornaments there. Then we also went into Michael's, Pi*r Imports and B*d, B*th and B*yond, since they are by T*rget. We found 4 individual ornaments at Michael's. Now about the lights, I like to have some of the lights blink, and it just so happened that T*rget had a set that some twinkled and some stayed lit. We bought two boxes. They worked great, even though you can't see the twinkling in the still picture above...ha. We were going to stop by W*l-m*rt, but after eating at L*nest*r steak house, we were both tired so we came home.

Tuesday after work, we went to Kmart. We picked up some garland beads and a few packs of ornaments and a star for the top. Cori rode home with Hubby and I picked us up some food. I got the lights, garland and star on the tree.

Wednesday I met Hubby at Cr*cker B*rrel and afterwards we went by Big L*ts to see if they had any ornaments, we picked up another couple of boxes and a double candy cane tinsel type thing, crossed like the ones in the picture on the side bar, to hang on the door. I finished up the tree with the ornaments. Oh, I also got me an Elvis mug with cocoa and a peppermint stick in it...ha.

Okay, I'll stop here, I know you are tired by now if you haven't already fallen asleep... :)

Take care, Sheila

  1. Well, where there is a will there is a way. Gled you are in the festive decorating mood.
'An Elvis Mug' Cocoa, all right!!!!

About McAdenville, yep we have Christmas Town USA next door. I would estimate it is a 2 mile drive. It is very pretty. BUT I certainly would not want to live there from Thanksgiving 'til N.Years.

It started by the mill owner paying everyone's electric bill for the month of December if they would decorate the mill houses. It started and has not stopped.

Of course the drive is free, we have paid to drive thru some that were not as impressive.

    Love from down the road.

  2. Lucy is having snow and thinks we are still
snow dancing. I am in the clear because I
am busy entertaining, cooking and wrapping
presents. McAdenville is next door to where
we live. Glad you found your decorations so it is beginning to look a lot like Christmas.
