A trimming we will go....
Hubby bought me a present yesterday, isn't he so sweet.
I told him I need to buy some flower stickers to decorate it.
When he cuts the grass I help by trimming and edging. We have an electric one he bought in Mobile when his gas one got temperamental about whether it was going to start or not. It was no fun for me having to move it and the extension cord around the house so I mentioned a battery operated one. Well we quit cutting the grass and hired someone to do it until this past week. Our guy had been out of work, but he now has a full time job and doesn't have the extra hours to keep cutting grass. Good for him, I'm so glad he found a job! So anyway, Hubby cut it yesterday and I got a new trimmer :-D. To save trips back and forth to empty the lawn clippings, we put one of the blankets the movers left behind on the ground. Hubby would dump clippings 3 or so times and I would drag it to the back and empty it and come back. Now today it is raining.
By the way, I love the trimmer, so much easier to use...they have the blower that uses the same type battery, maybe that will be next on the list...
Have a great week,
Sheila

I bought a cordless string trimmer awhile back myself. I saw the Ryobi, but it was kind of expensive, so I bought a Black & Decker, but it is a lot better than having a heavy gas one or the one with the electric cord.
ReplyDeleteIt is AMAZING HOW MUCH POWER THEY CAN PUT IN THAT BATTERY FOR THE WIFE! Too late for Sherry, we no longer trim much, well I do when here but this is an exception this year.
ReplyDeleteYeah, you definitely need some flower stickers.
Reckon it will cut snow?
Love from down here!!!!
I like the battery Worx's weed eater and trimer that I have, It's light and easy to handle, but the blower wasn't strong enough let me know if you get a blower and how it works. All is well here in Op's. Love you. Mom
ReplyDeleteNice gift. I like yard work and wish I could do as much as I used to.
ReplyDeleteCongratulations on the awesome gift. How long does the battery last?
ReplyDeleteGlad you like your new trimmer. Joe still trims with his beat uo trimmer but he mulches leaves with the lawn mower. Joe keeps such tight reins on me I can barely walk out to get the mail. More now that I had that screwed up vision. I sneak down in the basement every time he foes to the store. He said he had about everything put away again. Doesn't look like it to me. My fingers itch to dig into it but he would know.
ReplyDeleteI know you will enjoy this one!! Sweet of the hubs!!
ReplyDeleteSo you are glad it is getting cold.??? We have had snow in the panhandle. I think it was 3 inches or more but not here. Now young lady, No snow dancing either, you or Shirl.
