Let me catch you up...

Hello,

We got the backyard sprinkler system put back in. Hubby trenched it and we put the pipes around, then he paid a guy from work to hook it all back up.

I met daughter at the Ford place yesterday after an appointment I had, to leave her car to get the oil changed and the tires rotated. We picked it up today. I spent quite a few hours cleaning out my vehicle today, getting ready to get a new one.

I also got the DVD of my daughter's graduation in the mail today. I watched part of it to see how it turned out. Brought a lump to my throat. It gave a much better view than what I was able to see at the actual graduation. During graduation practice they played the traditional pomp and circumstance music when they entered and exited, but at graduation when they were leaving they started playing 'Star Wars'. They all seemed to get a kick out of that. Even my youngest thought it was cool...ha.

I've also watched a couple of movies with youngest daughter, (she's not a big movie person...ha).
We watched 'Shutter' one night and then the oldest watched 'Mirrors' with us another night. 'Mirrors' had Keifer Sutherland in it. There's one called 'Caffeine' that I want to watch with 'J'. It has Katherine Heigl (Izzie from Grey's Anatomy) in it. It sounds cute.

I'll go now,
Have a great weekend,
Jack and Sherry have a safe trip,
Shawn, stay safe on your canoe trip,
Sheila

  1. It does bring a lump to the throat when you watch the graduation of each of your children. Shirl said that Jack and Sherry ere on their way to more adventure. I hope everything goes well for them.

  2. Graduation--what a wonderful
memory. I volunteered my Dad to
do the scriptures reading. He never knew what I would volunteer him to do. In the second grade I volunteered the Church bus to take the class on a field trip. We had a blast saw farm animals.

That is wonderful you are getting a new car. Pick a pretty color and let us know what you decide.

  3. Hi, glad you got your DVD will be looking forward to watching it when you come up. We are doing well here. Your dad wanted to go to Home Depot to get some fence planks, but it is to late to go today maybe tomorrow. Have you decided what kind of car or truck you are going to get? Take care, love you, mom

  4. Glad the Hubby got the sprinkers back in. They are handy we have had them once and it saved a lot of hose pulling and sprikler moving.
New Car huh? Glad to hear it. We will be looking for a newer one next year, the '95 is too noisy for my hearing aids. LOL. Any excuse is as good as another!
Have a good weekend. This comes from Edinburg, Virginia, and Virginia is for Lovers!!

  5. It is strange how as we get older we think of things we want when we die. My son after being diagnosed with MS tried making Jewelry and selling it on consignment. Was not able to do it to long because hus movements would go totally out of control. I have all the jewelry he made for me in a black velvet drawstring bag except for the pearl earings he got me along with a gift certificate to get my ears pierced. That bag will be in my fingers and I will be wearing the pearl earings. Other than that cover me with a sheet and close the coffin and dump me in.

  8. Sheila I need all your help to keep
    that brother straight. I sure
do miss them when they leave. He
left and didn't stop at the Gate
to pay. He thinks cutting the grass
is going to take care of it. He has a surprise.

  9. Thanks for the idea, I can get me a chair and go down town and sit in
front of a resturant and try and
sell the books. I will need to
find a real bad worn out chair and
put on a ragged dress and not do
my hair and leave the make-up off.
Thank for the idea. I will walk
to town and let them see me trying
to carry the chair. HA HEE HEE
