Glasses, internet and storms...

Hello All,

Let's see, what happened last week...'C', whose contacts have been bothering her lately, has been wearing her glasses more often. Well Tuesday she got in the car and start feeling around for her glasses. She had put them in her jacket pocket and they weren't there. We hoped her friend might have picked them up... she didn't. I told her to check in the office to see if anyone turned them in...she kept forgetting so I called on Friday morning and they had them...thank goodness. They were stretched out, like someone tried to put them on, but I fixed them back. I'll go by one day and let the vision place adjust them a little better. I had just replaced a lens that she lost a couple of weeks ago...but all in all, she has been wearing glasses since she was four and has only had to replace one pair because of damage (in Texas)...and I think they were covered by a warranty.

Then our Internet was out all day Wednesday and part of Thursday...I cursed that blasted cable company again....but it wasn't their fault....our wireless router had went bad....ha. I don't care, I'm still gonna blame them...ha.

So now, we are waiting for 'Ida', the school is closing two hours early and will be closed tomorrow and they were already going to be out Wednesday. Hopefully it won't be too bad...

Have a great day,
Sheila

  1. Hi, I hope Ida doesn't come our way, lol . we have enough limbs and leaves to clean up. Well I hope we have the faucets working in the bath tub it has took three working days, lol I took your dad this morning to ACE hardware and he bought another set I called a man to see if he could come put it on and he couldn't do it until tomorrow so I told him we would try to fix it and we did, lol. it wasn't as much trouble as the first one was that didn’t work right but maybe we have it now. 3. Well that was luck that your daughters glasses were found. You tell Ida to go away. You all take care and the storm can go back out to sea.

  7. Sheila please let us know that you're all ok after Ida moves through. I was just reading that her winds have died down somewhat but I know it could pick up speed at anytime.

I always hated to see little one's have to wear glasses. Your daughter has done alot better taking care of hers than our grandson has. He's had his since he was 4 and he's now on his 3rd pair. I'm glad you were able to find your daughters.

I'm saying a prayer for your safety during the storm.

    Debbie
