Labor Day weekend and beyond...

Hello Everyone,

Hope you are all doing well. We had a nice Labor Day weekend. Friday night Hubby took me out to the Cimarron Steak House. I was a nice place and the food was good. They have an outdoor patio too, we didn't know that until after we had sat down. We'll have to try it out next time since the weather is turning cooler.

On Saturday we went to a few furniture places, looking for a new counter height dining set for the breakfast area and a new rocker recliner. We did find ones we liked and we will get them Thursday. Salvation Army is coming Tuesday to pick up our table and chairs and a dresser. I guess we'll be using our wooden tray tables for a couple of days...ha. We drove around a few new housing developments also before we headed home.

We headed out again Sunday, Hubby took me by where he works and we went house shopping some more. We went in a few model homes. Monday we just hung around the apartment. I think one weekend we'll head up toward Mount Airy, the town that inspired 'Mayberry'. I think they have a statue of Andy Griffith too.

The girls drove down to Charlotte last night to see Resident Evil afterlife in 3-D at the IMAX theater. They came back with tattoos....no not the real kind...ha.

'J' left her little dog at my parent's while we prepared to move and we went up to get her the weekend before the packers and movers came...I think Mom got a little attached (Dad too, but he probably wouldn't admit it...ha), so when my brother and his family came shortly after, she let the kids talk her into getting her one...They named him Jett...
Well she got up one morning about 4 am to take him out and when she put him back in his bed (in a cage while he's house trained), she didn't close it good...later on that morning she heard something and got up and he had turned on the TV and was hopping around so happy...ha. I guess he got bored with everyone asleep...ha.

Mom's new puppy Jett with her Granddaughter.

Jett again.
That's about it for now...I take the cat on Monday to get fixed, then later on we'll get the dog groomed and get her shots.
Take care Everyone,
ROLL TIDE!!
Sheila

  2. Love the puppy! And smart too, Ask mama what channel he prefers!!!

We loved Mayberry (Mt Airey), I hear the Porkchop sandwich on main street is good, but we ate at 'Aunt Bees' and was very disappointed. It is a neat town though. We went the last time to try the PC sandwich but they were having a festival and we had to have a 'Collard Sandwich' since we had never had one.

Anyway Good entry glad you are settling in to NC, but having settled in so many places, I know it is old hat.

If things work out and mom & Dad will meet with us, we might get to see Jett in November. hahaha

Love from Idaho (We had a snow ball fight today at Teton Pass.)

  4. Cute puppy. Sheila when your
girls came to Charlotte they were
6 miles from me. I lived in
Charlotte over 50 years. It is
a big City with lots to do. I don't
    envy you looking for houses.
I have been there done that.
    Good Luck
