Tomato Monday...

Got a couple of pictures to share of our first two tomato plants ( we bought 2 more since these) and one planter of our strawberries ( we have 2). I took a couple of the vegetables in the planter but they've grown since I took them so I'll wait and take another picture. I've seen one squash starting to grow, that's one more than I was able to grow in Alabama...ha. They would bloom but never made a squash.

These are the celebrity tomatoes
This is the Roma's. It is loaded down with them.
One planter of strawberries. A bird got my first strawberry before I did...

I don't think the tomato plants have grown any taller since they put on all the tomatoes.

Thanks for the Mother's Day wishes. I hope all the Mothers out there had a great day.

Take care,
Sheila

  1. OHHHHHHH, they are gonna be so good! We had some critter eating the one or two little tomatoes we had when we left Belmont. Will get out the sling shot when we get back and try to protect them. hahaha,

  2. Looking good. I have snails that get my strawberries before they are good ripe. I suppose I need to give them a drink of beer. I have heard that will kill them but I have never tried it. I have grown a lot of squash but have to start them pretty early or worms will get in them.

  3. Looking good. I have not planted any tomatoes now for 2 years. I did in 2010 then when my husband got sick and passed away in 2011, I just was not in the mood to plant any and again this year was not in the mood.

  8. Those tomatoes and strawberry plants look great. Ron and Kathy said their garden is doing very well this year. I hope the squirrels don't find theirs. Since they had to have their old rat terrier put down, they have squirrels. When their dog Frank was alive nothing could come i that yard.

  9. Are the tomatoes starting to ripen yet? As fast as they have grown I really think they will ripen pretty fast.

  10. I am so sorry to hear about your mom. Please Sheila, keep us posted. This is just bad that it happened now or at all. This could be rough with your dd the way he is and your mom will worry about him.
