Happy 4th of July!
We are still around... We have celebrated an anniversary, the 26th, on May 31st. Hubby celebrated a birthday on June 5th. Mom broke her hip on June 9th, no, we're not celebrating that, but we are working on getting her healed up. The girls and I have been here in Alabama since June 13th, that is the day she got out of the hospital. My niece came to spend the night so she would be here until I got here. They replaced the ball of her hip as that is what cracked. She went out to get the paper that morning and it was raining, Millie, her newest dog, jumped up on her and it caused her to slip and fall. She is doing well and the doctor said she could put full weight on it this Friday. She's not allowed to bend over yet since they had to cut the muscle and it still needs longer to heal and strengthen. She'll be back to her usual self before she knows it. My Dad is doing well also.
My brother and his family from Texas got here Saturday. They went down to the beach for the day today. We're just taking it easy today, some of the young ones will probably pop some fireworks
later. Hope everyone has a great 4th!
Take care, Sheila

Thanks for the update on your Mom. Missing reading her blog. Tell her to get well soon but mind the kids until then. They know best to get her well.
ReplyDeleteWe're having a great 4th, just "Sherry and I", we went to Hardees for a hot dog and a Oreo ice cream sandwich. Now just watching for a storm. hahahaha
ReplyDeleteAlso it makes our day to know Mama is doing well. She is one tough lady! Give her our love. It is great you and the girls could stay down this long. Sherry is Dr. free for now, no cast and the brace is handy but she is not using it. We are thankful it was not a hip.
Love all you guys!

ReplyDeleteIs it too late to wish you a happy belated anniversary?? Anyway, have a great 4th of July.
ReplyDeleteI hope your mother's hip heals quickly- that's a horrible ordeal to go through.
I am so glad to hear tings are going well for all of you. Speedy recovery for Jean.
ReplyDeleteSheila, Jean is lucky to have you for a daughter. I know she will be up and zinging around in no time. I bet the time really drags for her, she was so active. Tell her to do exactly what the doctor says on the muscle. My son went through that but it was ligaments and muscle. Thanks for stopping and leaving a comment. I miss Jean, and you on Facebook. I see you on there once in a while. I still don't say much on there. Just haNG AROUIND And watch and listen. lol
