All is well up this way. Hubby had to go on a business trip this past weekend. The Chiropractor gave him an electrical shock thingy to stick to his upper back/shoulder to help with the pain. The meds the doctor called in for him also helped. (While I was at my parents he did something to his sciatic nerve...while playing golf...so he had meds left from that he would take at night when he got home from work. But that was the only time he would take them.) He started taking the new prescription every 6 hours like it said and it helped him a lot more. He has pain that runs down the back of his arm to his elbow, I think that is what bothers him most. There was golf involved with this business trip so you know he was happy...ha. The top guy from the place where he worked in Alabama was also there.
About the peppers I put up, the peppers I grew were not hot at all...good, but not hot. But the ones that I bought, I know they will be hotter just from handling them.
Now that it is October 1st, I drank coffee out of my pumpkin mug. (seen below) You can't tell in the picture, but it is orange inside. Little scarecrow person is back on the mantle but I don't think I am going to share my mug this year...I also have my Autumn wood-wick candle burning...it crackles like a fire.
I think I am going to get me a couple of scarecrows to stick in my potted plants outside...the plants are long dead. One place I saw had some ghosts on a stick...may get a couple of them to put out for Halloween. The cooler weather has been nice, I think for a week we're supposed to be in the low 80's, then go back down into the 70's. But even in the 80's the breeze seems to be cooler.
I'll go for now,
Take care,
Sheila
Hello how are you? A first time visitor. Do you have a different mug for each holidays? I hope your husband is feeling better. And I lost my brother young too. sandie
ReplyDeleteThat is such a cute scarecrow. I love scarecrows. I will be going over to our local pumpkin patch next week to take photos of their Scarecrow Alley".
ReplyDeleteGlad your hubby's feeling better. I bought a scary mask the other day and I put it on the jug with the lights in it. Lol, last night I put it on and scared the dogs. HAHA. you should have seen them. Later though when I went out side and they seen it was me they weren't scared anymore Millie wanted to wear it. Nice day hear in this southern town. Love you. Mom
ReplyDeleteHope the electrical thingy works. I have wanted something like that since the Chiropractor used on on me. You are a good decorator. I have never been one to decorate for seasons but sure love to see them. Sorta makes you feel good to see them. I did a ROLL TIDE tonight as a blog. LOL
ReplyDeletehope your hubby feels better soon. My husband has sciatica too. Love your cute scarecrow.
ReplyDeleteI had something similar to what your husband has. It was called "tennis elbow" but I forget the real medical term. It lasted for nearly two years. I thought it would never go away, but it finally did.
ReplyDeleteI love everything to do with Halloween - - ghosts, scarecrows, and - yes - pumpkin mugs!
Hope hubby feels better soon. Since I fell face first on the concrete from the top of 5 steps I am having a lot more discomfort in my shoulder blades and back, but the tramadol helps. I love your decorations.
