We have had a few days of nice cooler weather, quite chilly at night and in the mornings. All is well here, I turned the rocking chair on the porch around where it was facing the other chairs and the 'ghost' didn't move it or choose a different chair...ha ;-). But Jarin has said her desktop computer has turned on twice during the night waking her up and one time when it didn't wake her up. Probably just a glitch or something.
Hubby got to go on a company sponsored deep sea fishing tournament to Ft. Lauderdale a couple of weeks ago. He caught one fish, a small 10 to 12 lb Bonita...(I had to look it up to see what it looked like). The one who got the prize for biggest fish caught some type of shark. He is a bit of a workaholic so I am glad he got some time away.
Took the dogs for their check ups and shots. Rylie goes back June 4th to get spayed and dental cleaning. She needs to lose a pound, because she has luxating patellas and the vet said she will gain weight easier after being spayed. The hard part will be keeping my Dad from feeding them from the table when we visit this summer...
til next time,
take care,
Sheila
Those house ghost can be very puzzling. Ours hasn't been around for a while. Our washer would vibrate when it hadn't even been used that day.
ReplyDeletePaula, as long as the ghost stays nice he/she can stay...ha.
DeleteStrangely enough, my computer sometimes turns on by itself in the middle of the night. Perhaps we have the same type of ghost - - but I think it's just a weird glitch.
ReplyDeleteIt was 100 degrees here in TX yesterday. Hard to believe that I was complaining about the cold weather a few weeks ago....
Jon, I thought I had a ghost when I first moved in in Mobile. My stereo would come on by itself. Then I noticed it had a timer that I never knew it had and it had somehow gotten turned on...haha
DeleteGood to see you made it back. Ha. Your dad got his tooth out this afternoon. We had to go yesterday to get it x-rayed seems like they can't do it both at one time anymore. He's doing well so far, I want him to get them all pulled out and get him some dentures. We will see! Love You, mom.
ReplyDeleteThat is the way it is here. When Rick switched to the dentist the girls and I go to, he had to go once to get x-rays then go back for the cleaning. Take care, Love you both!
DeleteGhost or Grinch? (smile) Feeding animals from the table is a hard habit to break when you have done it for so long. LOL.
ReplyDeleteWhere I come from a 10-12lb fish AIN'T NO SMALL FISH! hahahaha. Congratulate the old man, even if it was a Bonita.
Once in Biloxi, a guy gave me a 20 lb 'hard tail' (Jack or Bonita) and I knew no better. Cleaned it and invited some couples for dinner. WE ATE FRENCH FRIES AND PEA SALAD AND THREW THE FISH AWAY!
Jack , we'll say small compared to all the larger fishies in the sea...ha. The last time he went deep sea fishing with the company he worked for in Mobile, he felt a little seasick so he never went again. But it didn't bother him this time. He had went on other trips in Mobile where it didn't bother him, so probably just a fluke. Not really sick, just nauseous. Sheila
DeleteWell the ghost didn't want to sit in the chair this time. Maybe it'll be back. My computer reboots all the time in the middle of the night.
ReplyDeleteHey Sheila, Ghosts???? Sounds like you are doing well and happy to hear that. I am still doing ok. . Had kind of a hurting day yesterday but I blame Joe for that. Yes, Jack, I blame Joe!!!! The prince. He started complaining about the phone, so I spent way to much time trying to set up our old phone so I kind of got it through the shoulders. and upper back. As for heart, It is beating along, but I need not to be getting mad and overdoing.. We have the strangest neighbor. I will write on it on my blog. What is that long thing,(word) that will happen to Rylie if you don't watch her weight. Spunky is gaining and Joe will not quit giving him table food. Take care!!!!
ReplyDeleteLucy, Rylie and Charlie both have it, it is common in chihuahuas and yorkies. Their knee caps can move in and out of place easily. If it gets bad enough they would have to have surgery but keeping them at a normal weight helps. It is not hurting Charlie at all and Rylie limps holding her back right leg up for a few seconds when she goes out to potty sometimes, but she doesn't act like it hurts her. Hopefully by keeping her weight normal it won't get bad enough to cause her to need surgery.
