A day of fun.....!?

Well, Shirl says she knows nothing about love bugs in NC, so I am going to hold her to it. I've had enough of them these last few years. The worst was after Hurricane Katrina. I'm afraid to say, but we have not had any this May (we see them in May and Sept.), I don't know if the cold weather this year killed them or is just delaying them...

We had another snake adventure...the other day Mama was going out to take the trash and there was a snake at the bottom of the steps. Part of it's tale was still on the steps. She thought at first that my nephew put it there to scare her, I kind of thought it might be too. But then I thought 'I've never seen a fake snake that long'. She reacted similar to 'J'...'there's a snake out here'. It wasn't poisonous, but it was close enough to rattlesnake colored that I would have run if I had seen it in the grass. They didn't kill it, Daddy led it further out in the yard. Later on, we saw it climbing a pole on the fence, trying to get into a tree with a mockingbird nest. But the birds wouldn't let it. Then it crawled under the shed and we haven't seen it since. Mama wishes now they had chopped it's head off.

And you wouldn't believe the fun we had all day today...clogged sewer pipe!

Take care,
Sheila

  2. Uggh on the sewer pipe. No way on the snake. It would be dead if I was not so scared that I ran the other way.

  4. What fun you guys had. I agree
with your mother about the snake chop its head off. I killed a baby snake out front and now they tell me the mother is looking for me. I have seen about two small snakes here don't like them. I don't care if they are purple, orange or what color I will send them to Snake Land. Hope you get the pipes unstopped good luck.

  5. Hey Sheila, your mom commented on my blog and she cracked me up. Her and hubby sound so much like Joe and I.
