Nice weekend...

Well, well, well, we had a nice weekend here. It was warm enough for Hubby to play golf this weekend, not once but twice. His usual golfing buddy had knee surgery a few months ago and then after Christmas had a bout of Bronchitis and Pneumonia. But he is finally back at work and was able to play golf Saturday. Then another buddy had a birthday Sunday so eight of them played on Sunday. He also watched a movie with us both days. Jarin bought ‘House of Wax’ (newer version) recently so we watched that Saturday night. Sunday afternoon we watched ‘RED’ with Bruce Willis, Morgan Freeman and Helen Mirren. It was a good movie.

Jarin has a bad cold so we went to the minute clinic on Monday. She gave her some medicine for cough that looks like tiny round vitamin E pills. She is only supposed to take them when she has a coughing spell. She also told her to take Sudafed 12 hour and ibuprofen and spray her nose with saline spray. I put off getting a flu shot last year, but I got one while I was there with her.

We are supposed to get up to around 60 today, then cool back down again tomorrow. I was checking the 10-day forecast and it shows snow showers on Tuesday Feb. 8th. Fingers crossed…ha.

Have a great rest of the week,
Sheila

  1. Ah ha! And a bout time you quit calling for snow!!! We are fine the possom didn't see his shadow, folks are playing golf (other places than Florida) and all is well with the world. Well except for a few colds and sniffles. I hope they clear up and you all can enjoy some nice weather.
Also am hoping that the weather front skips us in the lower part of the East Coast, SO PUT YOUR DANCING SHOES UP!

    Love ya!

  2. I don't watch a lot of movies, but I've seen the previews for "Red" and it does look like it might be pretty good.

  3. Glad that it was pretty enough for them to play golf. It is colder here today and will turn colder still. Ken and my daughter both have taken those kind of pills for coughing. They helped my daughter but Ken said they did him no good. I hope they help your daughter.

  4. Glad hubby got to play some golf. It's cold and cloudy here today and we have limbs and pine combs all over the front yard from the wind yesterday. Love you, mom

area you should go it is very good. We
also saw the new version of True Grit it was good. Glad everybody is getting back up to
par. This has been a bad season for colds.

  7. Hi, I'm new here but will be back. Weather here has been calm, while the rest of the country is under new snow..lots of it. We have enough of the white stuff to last til our late spring...that would be about May.
They sometimes play Snowshoe Baseball here where they hit a black ball around and try to catch it while on snowshoes. I can hardly walk in them, let alone, run. LOL
    Stay warm down there.
