Hi all,
We are a little rainy and chilly here. Cori had a two-hour delay at school again on Friday. There was a chance of sleet and roads icing over. Earlier this year they had a couple of kids get killed going to school and a couple of school buses slid off the road because of icing, so I think now they are being more cautious.
I think Hubby is a little chilly; he is sitting in his rocking chair covered with a throw. I had the fireplace on earlier to get the chill out of the room, but I guess I didn’t get enough of it out.
I am going to fix lasagna today with garlic bread. Tomorrow it will be chili…then probably a couple of days of leftovers…ha.
We were planning to visit Mount Airy (Mayberry) today, but we will wait for a sunnier Saturday. No hurry, it ain’t going no where…ha.
Hope everyone has a nice weekend,
Sheila
Lasagna and chili are good comfort foods to warm you up. I am sitting with a quilt on me right now too. Is Mount Airy really Mayberry or were you just saying it because it's a small town?
ReplyDeleteI'm sorry to hear about the kids that got killed! So sad! I'm glad they are a little more cautious now! I'd rather the kids be safe!
ReplyDeleteI loooovvve Lasagna & Chili! That's two of my favs! Enjoy the rest of your weekend also! Hugs!
Must be something catching, Darla up in Wisconsin just made Lasagna and Garlic Bread. Sherry makes a great lasagna and we all love it.
ReplyDeleteIt is great left over food. (We seldom have any left).
Enjoy your trip to Mayberry, when you finally go. It is fun, Not a Great Tourist place, but a lot of TV memories there.
I don't know the name of the place but one of the places down town serves a 'World famous Pork Chop Sandwich".
Anyway stay warm and have a great Sunday.
Lasagna and Garlic bread it makes me hungry.
ReplyDeleteI bought Sam A scratch post today and he loves it he's standing guard over it now, lol. take care, love you, mom.
Sheila, thanks for letting me know Tom T. Hall is still among the living. I could have SWORN he was dead, but nope. You are right.
