We did make it back from Bama and we had a great time. We got home around 11:30 pm on July 17th. Thanks for the sweet comments about our home in Mobile. We have found a home here and we have been busy. We close tomorrow the 29th. Had to find someone to put in a mailbox. Bought a freezer to be delivered Saturday and two rocker recliners for the living room. We found a patio set (for the screened-in deck) but since they wouldn't let us buy it and hold it there until this weekend, we'll just have to hope they still have one this weekend. Blinds were installed yesterday and a storage building will be set up Friday afternoon. Also bought new bedroom furniture and mattresses for the girls. So all that searching and shopping wore me out...ha. Did have a night out at the steakhouse during that time, with a margarita...yum.
I finally have a home with a front porch...did have a small porch in Texas that held two Cr@cker B@rrel rockers. Hubby has his screened-in deck and regular deck.
Took these last two today when we did the final walk through.
We still have a month left on the apartment lease, so we don't have to rush to move everything in a weekend.
Have a great Friday!!
Sheila
I love it, congratulations. Now you can sit on that front porch and rock away. Helen
ReplyDeleteVery nice! What kind of tree in the front yard?. Boy! I love porches and decks. I'm a porch sitter from way back. Like that ceiling fan on the porch too. So good you don't have to rush to move.
ReplyDeleteWOW, you guys have been busy. I love the place and the big garage. Love a screened in porch. I have built a few but we never had one. Love the rock look. AND we have ALWAYS LOVED A PORCH, haven't always had one, but we grew up with them.
ReplyDeleteNow you can settle down (Until the next move!!!!) Just kidding. I hope you have found a home until retirement. That is great!
Love from up in Lenoir!

wicker furniture on the porch very comfortable.

Your home is beautiful!!! I'd love sitting on that porch!!
ReplyDeleteYou are right Sheila about stubborn men and guess what, Jack, the guy we all missed while they were remodeling the house, he is stubborn to, but it does keep life interesting to read his entries and comments.
ReplyDeleteHi Sheila. I got a Garmin GPS. It's a small 3.5" one, model 1100LM. I bought the bean bag mount at Kmart, but they have them online too. You just put the suction cup on it and set it on the dash. It's heavy so it won't move around. I didn't want it on the windshield or stuck on the dash permanently.
ReplyDeleteIf you think a Snow tattoo will help get some
ReplyDeleterain maybe I better run on down to the Blvd.
and get one. HEE HEE. Lets just get one of
those that will rub off my body has enough
defects at my age to add more. I will start
the rain dance today without the tattoo.
