around your sister and cousins.
and his sister looks so innocent, doesn't she.Hello Everyone,
I tried to center the writing under the pictures but it didn't work.
These two are my niece and nephew. Children of my little brother who lives in San Antonio. He used to do an Elvis impersonation in Kindergarten, my brother that is. We even halfway dressed him up as Elvis one halloween. So 'S' if you are reading this, you should do the impersonation again for your kids in honor of his birthday...
Okay on to other things, not much happening around here. C had an orthodontist appt. yesterday, she is on her largest wire and from what I understood her last. We also had to stop at Target and get her a new backpack and new binders for school.
One last word on moon pies. They had a recipe in the paper for moon pies New Year's Eve, if you can call it that. Take a moon pie, (theirs was chocolate but I'm sure you can use your favorite) put a scoop of ice cream on top (vanilla on theirs) and drizzle with chocolate syrup and caramel.
Yes, I will probably try it, if I can remember to buy moon pies. They will be every where soon as the start of Mardi Gras is just around the corner. No, I have never went down to watch a parade, to hard to get around. I have watched on TV.
I'll go now,
take care,
Sheila
So you are an Elvis fan? we are also. In fact country music is our kind of music and not the ones that sound more hard rock than real country. We will watch CNN on Larry King. My hisband won't miss it. Since I have been up since 2 AM i may fall asleep in the chair. Got a short email from your mom yesterday and it sounds like your dad is doing pretty good.I sure hope things keep on that way. Lucy
ReplyDeleteGood entry. Great pictures catching history. I am sure they will have stories until the WINTER of their lives.
ReplyDeleteI ate moon pies, but my favorite was oatmeal cakes. The sundae thing sounds good though.

Hey dear!
ReplyDeleteI have satelite internet. We have had so much rain latley but think its eased up now. back to colder temps. lol
Your neice and nephew are very good looking.
I have been to texas many times but never lived there. It was so hot last time I passed through there. Dont know if I could stand the heat .
Funny about the writing on the sleeping children. Our boyfriend went to sleep on the sofa watching TV one afternoon and we painted his fingernails red. What a shook when he saw his red nails.
ReplyDeleteI have an Elvis necklace and an a Elvis bottle of Wine. Needless to say I was an Elvis Fan. When Dad was in Tenn. for a convention he
took Jack and me by and let us see Elvis house. His pink convertible Cadilac was in the back yard beside the pool It was when his Mother died. A private postman in a car was waiting to get inside the gate with the mail.

I can't keep from laughing about the pictures. My stepson did the same thing to his Mom with black permanent marker while she was asleep. I think he drew a smiley face on her forehead. What a shock it was when she looked in the bathroom mirror. I gave him fair warning he better never try to do that to me, haha.
ReplyDeleteThat recipe sounds yummy.
Hope you have a great weekend.
Debbie
Hello Miss Sheila,
ReplyDeleteToo Funny, REally great pictures!
God Bless
Randy
Have a good Sunday Sheila and we were a little disAappointed in the Elvis program on CNN. I think his ex wife looks like she has had plastic surgery. She seems so still and uncomfortable. Lucy
ReplyDeleteJust an observation.
The weather is wet and cool here this afternoon. Hope you guys are all doing okay. I've been waiting on a new post to read, lol. Love you, mom
