Time goes by...

Hello Everyone,

Didn't mean to wait this long to post, I guess time just got away from me.

This picture is 'C' in Washington state. She took violin for like two seconds...ha. Well, actually I think it was part of 5th grade. But she didn't like to practice the twenty minutes they were supposed to every night. She also got contacts in 6th grade.

So lets go back a few days...

Hubby played poker again on Friday night and he won more than he lost the last time he played. They don't play 'high-stakes' so he doesn't risk losing much. Also daughter 'J' went to the mall Friday night with friends to look for a prom dress. She was able to find one. She still had a sore throat this weekend so she went to the doctor Monday. She didn't have strep but she did have some kind of throat infection. So she is taking some antibiotics now.

I picked up 'C' from school Monday and we went by and got us both a haircut. She wanted Subway, which is next door to the haircut place, so I got her a sandwich and chips. Hubby got a haircut on Sunday...now I guess it is 'J's turn...ha. Well she can wait til her throat gets better.

Prayers for my friend 'A' who is awaiting test results and for my In-laws friend 'J' who had a stroke last night, will be greatly appreciated.

'Til next time,
Take care,
Sheila

  1. First I'm saying prayers for A&J. God knows who they are. My youngest daughter wanted to take violin lessons and did then ended up hating it. She learned to play "Scotlands Burning" but very squeaky. lol

  2. The violin lasted longer than my piano lessons.LOL I made one fifty cent lesson, Shirl made a few more, but she can play.
Subway sounded good. I can't put as much stuff in a bun and keep it together as they do.
    Like this entry.

  3. Of course prayers are sent for both . None of my kids aspired to play a musical instrument thank goodness because we , or maybe I should make I could not have afforded it. Helping out on cars and Joes mechanical knowledge to keep them running. Now he barely can work on our car now because of the computer, on board. Lucy

  5. Thank-you so much for stopping by my journal. My eldest and her girl have decided to take up the violin. We have a couple of siblings in church who have progressed so much over the years and now a JOY to listen to at a service.
Saying prayers for A and J..and as Paula says God knows their needs.

As soon as I can figure out how to put that chip in the computer I will have some more pictures of our cruise.

Today I am starting to feel more human...but a lot is the attitude of the heart.

    Blessings,
