Let me fill you in on the goings on...Thursday we had graduation, 'J' and her friend went to see a musical act in Florida after graduation (more on that later).
Friday Hubby took off work and played golf, good thing because it rained the rest of the time. Plus it's hard to get him to take off. He wanted to dig up the little strip of grass between our walkway and front flower bed and plant flowers, so he picked up some at Lowe's, Home Depot and Target.
We had the graduation party Saturday night for 'J' and her graduating friends at her friend's who had a pool. We had plenty of food, hot dogs, hamburgers, vegetable plate, fruit, beans, chips, dips, cake. They decorated the garage in a Hawaiian style with palm trees and coconut shaped cups for all the graduates. They sang karaoke while the food was grilled, we ate, then in a bit they all went swimming. The dip for the fruit was good, small jar of marshmallow creme and 8oz cream cheese or 2 cream cheeses and a large jar of marshmallow creme. After swimming they came in and cut the cake, then we all joined in on the karaoke. No adult would use the mike though, we just sang along in our chairs...ha.
Sunday Hubby got ready to trim the bushes in front before digging up the grass and planting flowers. Since we had just put down new pine straw, he wanted as much protection as possible in case a snake had slithered in...
The title of my entry is also the title of a song we heard alot (and sang along with) when we were first married.
A few years ago I searched hi and low for a CD with the song on it,
I didn't know who sang it or if that was the real title but I finally found one
and it was part of his anniversary present that year.
Now if I had just had a cowboy hat to put on him...ha.
(I warned him I was putting it on my blog)
'J' and her friend also went to my parents on Sunday and came back today, then headed to Dauphin Island so they could have a little more beach time before her friend went home tomorrow. They are at Red Lobster now, her friend has never eaten there.
We grilled out Monday after the rain slacked off. I won't say what we grilled, I don't want to fling a craving on Jack.
Tuesday was back to school for 'C', she had a test today and 2 tomorrow then she will get out around 11:00 am tomorrow. I think her friend is going to come home with her.
I am waiting for an icee and sugar babies when 'J' gets home...ha.
Have a great day tomorrow,
Sheila

Happy Anniversary for whatever day it is or soon will be. Nice legs. Tell hubby that is from a 79 year old woman that knows how to judge a mans legs. lol.
ReplyDeleteLove the boots, I need to get me a pair. We sing country songs and
ReplyDeletesome are from Texas and wear
cowboy hats. Hubby would fit right in but needs to get a cowboy
hat. Hope onions do better. I won't comment on the legs.
Shirl
Hi, we enjoyed the girl’s visit and I hope R made the trip home okay.
ReplyDeleteWe mowed the grass this afternoon and finish up just before a down pour of rain. I plan to make me some dip this weekend sounds good. Take care, love you, mom
(Lucy won't read this, but I'm telling Joe.) I blanked the legs off Sherry's computer Don't you just hate jealousy!
ReplyDeleteShirl just took us out for dinner, but I still sorta got a craving for what I was imagining on the grill. hahahahah!
I see life stays full with young ones around. I can remember the fun though, and would not trade it for the world. You guys are making a lot of memories, for you and the girls.
Love,
jack & Sherry
Hubby look cute in his boots. Sounds as if your daughter had a nice graduation party. Congrats to her. Thanks for showing me those onions. I wondered how they would do. Hugs, Helen
