Hubby went Saturday and picked up a couple of mums, 2 bales of hay and some pumpkins for the front porch. He also bought a witch and a black cat but we haven't put them out yet. He stopped by L0wes Monday after work to pick up 4 black rocking chairs for the front porch.
I found some scuppernongs at the grocery store this week. They were in smaller containers than usual but hopefully they'll get larger ones in soon. Love my scup'lins...ha.
Hubby and I took Rylie for a walk through the neighborhood last night, then rocked for a little while on the porch. Today is haircut day for me, I need to go get a little trim.
Rest in Peace Pam...we grew up together, she played piano and we spent a lot of time singing gospel songs. They also had a little porch that was high enough that it made a nice 'stage' for our concerts and a non-working car in the back that we 'drove on road trips', usually to the beach. Please keep her family in your prayers.

I enjoyed the read and update, but most of all the short tribute to Pam. What memories. Love the idea of the stage and i KNOW about the road trips. Makes for wonderful memories.

Sounds like you just got your things at Walmart and really enjoyed it. In fact it sounds like life is good for you right now and that is great. I am sorry about your friend, it makes you stop and think about how uncertain life is. Take care Sheila. I consider all of my blogger friends, like I know them.

ReplyDeleteI really like your house. It looks so nice with the decorations for fall and Halloween. I would like your rocker but we can't sit on our front porch. Not much to see but our neighbors to the South's rental with the trees growing out from under the porch. Alcoholics to the north and I do not want to see them. Across the street is all commercial. At least they keep their lawn up nice. Bank, credit union, a place that issues grants to certain organizations or maybe individuals, a Lab where they pay people to participate in medicine to see how they react. And some type of a school office. Was not like that when we oved in.
