Ok, we made it back from my Mom and Dad's. Jack, I had to get up there before she threw away any of that incriminating stuff she had hidden...ha. She had some leftover juice from her friendship cake so I just got her drunk on that and she told all the secrets...ha. Just kidding, she poured it down the drain before I had a chance too...
I guess I took some of our bad luck up there. Her stove blew out the bottom element on Easter morning. They have been able to fix that in the past but this time it caused the eyes on top to stop working and when you turned one on, the light inside the oven came on...weird. Then the next morning the coffee pot wouldn't work. I hope the bad luck is over now.
I have been getting caught up on all the blogs since I have been back.
To let you know, I heard from Jun, she is doing fine, her repairs are taking longer than expected so she is without Internet. I know some of you were concerned about her. I hope she's back up and running before long.
And for the record, I was born in 1963. I got the hints off the Internet. I could have said the year Kennedy was assassinated but that would have been to easy. "C" has a birthday on the 21st, I'll have to change her age on my profile..
I'll go now,
Take care everyone,
Sheila
Yeah, you need to check on the senior folk, never know what they have hidden. HA! Since I wrote the book about seniors I have been told by three people they found a good bit of money hidden even for folks that apparently had nothing. Yesterday, The girl interviewing us told us when her dad died she was about to discard his large detergent box with just a little powder, decided to put it in a smaller container and found $6000 in the soap powder.
ReplyDeleteYOu have to watch those seniors.
Good to read the entry, enjoy thenm very much. Take care of MOM!!!!
PS: BTW thanks for the info on JUn. You can tell you mom she can just sell the stove and eat out. LOL You are such a sweet kid.
ReplyDeleteSheila I am hiding all my money

awhile.
Sorry about all the bad luck it is
time for everything to turn around.
