Our blooming Crepe Myrtle...

We have about 5 crepe myrtles at our home, but this one is full of blooms. If you've read my previous entries you know why our grass is missing. You can see a post on the top right where my Scuppernongs (or as we say scupplin's) are. There's a pile of wood back there too from some trees we cut down.

My Dad got to go home from the hospital yesterday. He'll have to go back as an outpatient in a few weeks. Then we'll see whether he'll have his gall bladder out or not. Thanks for all your prayers.

It has been pretty here the last few days and not quite as hot. We have a chance of rain the next few days.

I'll go for now,
Take care,
Sheila

  1. Hi Sheila, I have never seen a crepe Myrtle. Bet they are not common to the cold areas. Glad your dad got to go home and wish him the best thing possible.

  2. Hi lady, that is beautiful of the Crepe mYrtles. BUT tell us then the scuppernongs come in, I LOVE them!!! I have tried for years to grow, grapes or muscadines, no luck.
Now that Sherry found some wild ones behind Shirls, we are on the road when they ripen. OH well.
Hope all works our for your Dad, glad his is home.
    Love

  5. The Crepe Myrtle is beautiful
I had two in the front yard of
    my Charlotte "Dry Lake House".
My friends had a Lake House so we
called ours the Dry Lake House.
I also had a beautiful dogwood.
I do miss my them. We had an older
home so the plants were beautiful.

Glad you Dad is doing better but
will keep him in our prayers.

  9. Think I may just relax today, mainly cause I can barely move due to all the activity yesterday. Not to many blunders on the colorful remote but a lot to learn.
