Hello everyone!
With an aching back and three broken ornaments...tile floors aren't very forgiving...I finally have my tree up. It has lights built in and I added two more strands. Then to make it interesting I added one more set that blinks. My husband has this thing for candy cane striped ornaments, ball shaped and candy cane shaped.
I would like to get some cut tree branches to lay on the shelf above our TV and put lights on those. Then I think I am done inside the house. We still need to put the spiral tree up outside.
I hope to work on my Christmas cards tomorrow.
Thanks to all who came by to check out my blog and to the ones who commented.
Okay Mom, I think you should start one too.
It has been raining here since last night with tornado watches and thunderstorm warnings. It's supposed to continue tonight...no tornado watches though. Supposed to be in the high 40's tomorrow, but we'll see.
'J' has her Christmas concert at School tomorrow night.
I watched the movie "A Christmas Memory" that I had recorded, while I put up my Christmas tree. It was based on a Truman Capote story. I hope to read the story one day.
If you notice the books on my bookshelf, one is 'Sticky' by my friend Jack. I have enjoyed what I have read so far. One is 'Bangalors', written by my brother, I haven't read it yet but will as soon as I finish 'Sticky'. There is also one there called 'Cracker's Mule', it takes place in my hometown. It's more of an older childs book, but I enjoyed it. Both of my daughters have an autographed copy of it. You are probably more familiar with 'Cold Sassy Tree' it has been around awhile, I liked it very much.
Okay, I will stop here. Wishing you all a great day tomorrow.
Sheila
PS. I tried to put spaces in but it ran it all together. Yesterday the spaces were to wide...go figure...ha
