I forgot to tell you on the last post that I got a big handful of scup'lins off of my vines Sunday. But they had the bronze and the dark ones at the grocery store when I went and I bought some more there.
The weather has been beautiful and cooler the last few days. It was 65 degrees yesterday and today when I took 'C' to school. I went by st*bucks this morning for a change and got a breve' caramel mocha and an oatmeal raisin cookie. They did a fairly good job of getting the taste right this time. The cookie tasted better than ones I've had before too. I guess I got spoiled, S*bucks can't make them as well as my favorite coffee shop in Washington did. Plus they had an oatmeal granola bar with cranberries that I loved and I miss it.
Don't tell Jack, but I had some more tomato sandwiches...
Ok, I'll go,
Take care,
Sheila
I want say a thing to Jack about
ReplyDeletetomatoe's he has missed everyone at the Wrap Park. I will check his
scup'lins or musc'lins which one
is growing. They were loaded I guess I had better look tomorrow.
He didn't get to eat them last year. Maybe this year. I might
just pick all of them and make
wine.

Okay, I heard that!!! We stopped at a farm stand today, NO TOMATOES if was self serve honor system so I could not ask WHY?
ReplyDeleteIs it time for grape type stuff? Shirl made wine from my muscadines last year (I think). At least she acted like it. LOL I have missed her tomatoes BAD!
I don't know how anyone can mess up good coffee with chocolate and stuff!! (don't hit me again, that is Sherry. My resident Chocolate person)
But the oatmeal granola with cranberries sounds GREAT!(with good coffee) LOL.
Love from maine,
Jack & Sherry
I have got to know, the curiosity is killing me. What the heck is scup'lins??? I gather they are grapes. Here in good old Nebraska we call a grape a grape. You southerners have some of the strangest tastes, Sheila and Shirl. I had big thick slices of tomato yesterday. Just great, juicy and the best taste ever. Can you believe I do not like star bucks or any fancy coffee. I will take mine the old fashioned way. Those tomatoes were the best. You bit into one and the juice just spilled out on to the taste buds.
