Shopping run....

I made a run to Target today, wanted a new iron, the old one still works but it randomly leaks on my clothes. Not out of the bottom, like they usually do. Yes I am still one of the ones that irons their clothes. My children probably won't, I do iron 'C's school clothes, but 'J's in college now and I'm done ironing hers. I picked up a few things on my grocery list there also, and a few things that weren't...ha.

Then it was off to the grocery store. I saw 'J's friend 'H' there. She recently got her a new vehicle and I asked how she liked it. She said it was quieter than her other one...ha. I never heard any unusual noises out of her old car...

Pest service guy is coming tomorrow, we have service where he comes every three months. In Texas our house had a 'pest defense system'. It had lines or something that ran in between the outside and inside walls and they just hooked up to an outlet on the outside walls and it put the chemicals in that way.

I'll go now,
Everyone have a great week,
Sheila

  1. I iron sometime but not as much as I should. I did enough of it when I was a teen. My sister and I had to iron our big flared skirts. Then when I first married my husband wore kaki uniforms. He insisted on long sleeve shirts but rolled them up. Go figure. I cooked starch and ironed everything. Wow this is a whole entry. lol

  2. I iron things all the time. I have inherited three irons down sizing my famiy. It would be a shame not to use them. It is hard to get the wrinkles out of the material our clothes are made of today.

  3. In Texas I never saw so many cockroaches in my life. I am not kidding the best looking and cleanest had roaches. I do not iron much. Only when push comes to shove. I don't know if I mentioned it or not but before coming home I shook every article of clothing out or laundered it if I could then sealed them in plastic bags., once home the suitcases were thoroughly inspected. Have you guessed, I don't like bugs in any way shape or form even Nebraska bugs.

  4. Hey I understand about getting the stuff that is on the list, and some that isn't. HA! Sherry irons somethings here in the Motor home. Our washer/dryer combo does very small loads. It does not dry like the normal dryer, it goes one way then back the other direction a few rounds. but the things wrinkle more. I personally do not care if things are Ironed or not, but Ms. Sherry is particular about some things,THAT MUST BE IRONED! Thank goodness it is not my skivvies any more. LOL
