Update...

Thanks everyone for the prayers and good wishes. The doctor said my Dad made it through the surgery fine. If all goes well, he should be able to go home early in the morning. Keep my Mom in your thoughts too, she has had a lot to shoulder with the stress and worry and taking care of him all this time....plus he can be a little ornery...ha.
Thanks,
Sheila

  1. I am so glad the surgery went well for your dad. He is really a tough man and seems to have been through a lot. I do keep your mom in my thoughts because I have a husband a lot like that and she has mentioned sort of in passing that he could be stubborn.

  2. NO WAY! You girls don't know what ornery is. We guys just have a better way to show our appreciation.

Thanks for the update. Glad he made it through OK.

We will be thinking of Mom too, but she will handle it. When push comes to shove, we know which side our bread is buttered on, (us boys do).
    Love ya!

  5. Glad everything seems to be okay. Still saying a prayer for both. Yes there seems to be a Bill Miller's on every corner now and even in the small towns. My girls like to get brownies and sweet tea when they come to town.

  6. I think I will have a better day when I talk to Connie more and I will get the drunks under control, as much as anyone can control a drunk. It is an awful feeling to hate someone but after all these years, of putting up with unimaginable stuff, we have a definate dislike for them. How is your dad doing and I bet mom is hanging in there?
