Happy Birthday to my Daddy!!

Today is my Daddy's 83rd Birthday, so I thought I would share some pictures. I started this earlier today with some pictures I had scanned at Christmas, but I didn't have one of my youngest brother with him so I had to get Mom to scan and send me some...so here goes...

Here, he is with my two oldest brothers...
Ronnie and Carl.
This is me with him in May of '63

I was around one year old here.
A little over two years old here with Daddy,
Terrie and Carl.

Almost three years old here,
this is the side yard.

I was three here with Daddy and Terrie.

Align CenterDaddy and the baby brother...Shawn
(the one who just got married)

This is on the way home from a trip to Nashville.
Me, Shawn and Daddy.
(I think it was around '77)
(I'll post a picture of a dollar if you can tell me whose picture is on my shirt...ha)

This is at a campground in Panama City Beach...
See Jack...we used to camp too. I think Hubby and
I slept in one of those tents, this was probably a couple of
years after we married.

Well I hope you enjoyed the trip down memory lane as much as me.
We love you Daddy!!!
Happy Birthday!!!

Turtles and shopping...

Hi Everyone,

Did a little shopping today. Took and picked up hubby's clothes at the dry cleaner. Went to Off*ce M*x and bought a wireless printer, I had another coupon for 25 dollars off and it expired today. Then to Targ*t were I purchased 'J' and I a dark purple t-shirt to wear with our purple stripe pajama bottoms (which I am going to put on shortly), also bought 4 bags of their popcorn, (yeah I know, I have a popcorn machine). Lastly, by W*ndy's, for food, since hubby was getting home from golf about this time, and that's what he requested.

Thought I'd post this picture for Paula...it was taking by my brother or his new wife, not sure which, on their honeymoon.

Looks like Mom or Dad is giving a piggy back ride...ha.

Hope everyone is having a nice weekend,
Sheila

What some where doing on St. Patty Day...

I wanted to share with you a couple of pictures.

My brother Carl, for the last three years has shaved his head for a certain children's cancer charity. He and other 'shavees' take donations and his company matches. Last year he dyed his hair green, since they shave on St. Patrick's Day. but this year he let people vote on blue, green or pink...pink won.

Here's a before pic with pink hair-

and the after pics-

We are proud of him
(and I think his little girl, the one in my header, liked the pink hair)

Well, we are expecting 70 degree weather today and tomorrow and sunshine, will be nice.
Have a great weekend everyone,
Sheila

Happy St. Patty's Day!

Danny Boy

I took these pictures yesterday morning when I got home from taking 'C' to school.

our daylilies are coming up.
we have a lot...

a single lone bloom on the camellia
( I think it is a camellia, correct me if I am wrong)

I don't think our soil is very good because this tree (bush?) and our holly tree
in this area are kind of sparse when it comes to leaves and color.
The holly tree on the other end of the house is full, dark green and lots of growth.

I used green in my post so you can't pinch me!!

Hope your weather is being nice to you today,
take care,
Sheila

I guess it's time to give up the snow...

Okay Lucy, I finally broke down and got rid of the snow...ha.

The header picture is my niece. Mom and I took her fishing last labor day weekend, her first time fishing, but we didn't catch anything. Probably one of the reasons was, that we couldn't buy any live bait because they were closed. Love bugs were bad and they were bothering her quite a bit, so she was ready to go before too long...ha.

The other picture on the side bar is my other niece and nephew. They are the children of my brother who just got married. That picture was taking in Colorado.

We've had the cable company out again...they replaced the cable...and left it on the ground, running from our house down to the road and then down the curb in front of the neighbors to the box. It was there a couple of weeks. They came yesterday morning and replaced the cable with a thicker one and then buried it.....yeah, shocked me too... :)

And the computer company H*ll...I mean D*ll, has been here again. 'J' started having physical dumps after the motherboard was replaced. They came back and replaced the hard drive, memory and keyboard...they just threw the keyboard in.......We'll see if this fix works.

In other news, my stepson is single again. We were hoping, since they have young sons, that they could work it out, but it was not to be.
My Hubby's sister and her youngest son came this weekend. She is in the midst of a divorce also.
They all seem to be doing okay, as they deal with everything.

A little good news, Mom's eye is getting better, but still not seeing as well out of it. Hopefully it will be back to normal soon.

I think I have caught you up with all the goings on...
Have a great week everyone,
Sheila

Errand running...

Hi Everyone,

Lucy, I changed my blog a little...I'm not quite ready to give up on winter yet...ha. Maybe after it starts warming up here.

Had a few errands to run after 'C' got out of school Monday. Had to go pick up a couple more pairs of sample contacts for her to try. Since the brand she used to wear was giving her some problems, we are trying some new ones to see if they work better. Ran to the dry cleaner to drop off and pick up. Then to get 'C's ears pierced...........for the third time..........not three separate holes in each ear..........but the third time in the same spot...hopefully this time she will keep them. From there it was off to the craft store for more painting supplies for her and finally a hair trim for both of us. She has been going to school about 10:30am this week. They are taking graduation exams and she passed all of them last year. Except today she had to go in at 9:30 because the test today doesn't last as long. She said she could get used to this...ha.

That's about it for now,
Take care,
Sheila
