Memorial Day...

Hello again...

Hope everyone is enjoying their Memorial Day weekend!

I went with Jarin, Thursday night, to the 10pm premiere of the new 3-D X-men movie. Yes, I did manage to stay awake..ha. It was pretty good.

We are enjoying the fireflies at night when we take the doggies out. At first we would only see one each night, now they are twinkling all up in the trees. One landed in our grass and then put his light out, I guess he was going to bed... : )

As you can see, I was having a hard time erasing
the Christmas tree I drew on the white board...ha.
but after I took this pic, I erased it.
Cori drew the pics of Charlie and Rylie.

Toward the end of winter, Charlie discovered heater
vents, this is near the kitchen table. I later showed
him the one in the living room and he started using that one.

He also loved the fireplace, actually both dogs liked it.

A couple of years ago, my doctor suggested a place to get shoes and inserts, that would help my ankle that was bothering me. I did and they also helped some pain I was having in my hip. I put those initial inserts I got into a pair of boots, so I ordered me two new pair, one to go in my new running shoes (no I don't run but they are more supportive) and the other for a spare. I think I have already mentioned before that I buy orthoheel flip flops, can't do without my flip flops. I am looking to get me another pair of croc flip flops too.

Trying to get in the habit of posting more...
Take care,
Sheila

Hello...

We have had a few days of nice cooler weather, quite chilly at night and in the mornings. All is well here, I turned the rocking chair on the porch around where it was facing the other chairs and the 'ghost' didn't move it or choose a different chair...ha ;-). But Jarin has said her desktop computer has turned on twice during the night waking her up and one time when it didn't wake her up. Probably just a glitch or something.

Hubby got to go on a company sponsored deep sea fishing tournament to Ft. Lauderdale a couple of weeks ago. He caught one fish, a small 10 to 12 lb Bonita...(I had to look it up to see what it looked like). The one who got the prize for biggest fish caught some type of shark.  He is a bit of a workaholic so I am glad he got some time away.

Took the dogs for their check ups and shots. Rylie goes back June 4th to get spayed and dental cleaning. She needs to lose a pound, because she has luxating patellas and the vet said she will gain weight easier after being spayed. The hard part will be keeping my Dad from feeding them from the table when we visit this summer...

til next time,
take care,
Sheila

We have a ghost...

Well, maybe not a ghost, but something is moving our rocking chair to where it is at an angle. It has happened at least 5 times. We have not sat in it and turned it. The wind hasn't done it, we will have lived here three years in August and the wind has never turned it before. Plus I have kept a close look out when it was windy to see if it moved. Maybe a dog or animal runs through there and bumps it? But 5 times? Hmm, has me baffled.

On to other things...Hubby went to the allergist, no allergies to food, nuts or anything he ate that night. No bites or stings from anything.  A few minor seasonal allergies to certain trees, grasses and weeds, but nothing out of the ordinary. He's taking meds for that now since that may be contributing to his cough. If the cough continues though I will make him an appointment with an ENT doctor. So the cause to his anaphylaxis shock was because of a preservative in the children's benedryl or no known cause, random. He has an Epipen now. Actually two at work and two here. I threw away the children's benedryl. Hopefully it won't ever happen again.

Cori (my youngest) and I had birthdays in April, me on the 12th her on the 21st. Cori is not much into cake and cards but we get them anyway...ha. Actually she wanted cheese cake so I got that and an ice cream cake. Candles don't stick very well in an ice cream cake... She wanted money for her birthday so that is what she got.

We also got a new rug recently, it is less bright and more muted than it appears in the picture.

Hope all is well in your neck of the woods!
Take care,
Sheila
