Santa was good to us all. We have enjoyed spending time with family. Can't believe when I leave town we get the biggest snow storm yet...ha.

"♫ Snow Day ♫

More like an ice day…I didn’t venture out today, but Hubby said he was sliding when backing out this morning and since it is uphill until you get out of the apartment complex it took him quite awhile to get out to the road. He said he needs some sandbags to throw into the back of his truck for traction…ha.

The schools and colleges were closed today and there is a two hour delay in the morning for Cori unless it changes at some point to cancelled. Jarin doesn’t have classes on Fridays.

And as you can imagine, a lot of  accidents.

♪♪ I'm dreaming of a White Christmas... ♪♪

It happened again!! Opened the door last night and look what was there...

The flash on the camera made some of the snowflakes glow...ha. Snow sure helps to make it feel like Christmas.

Forgot to mention in the last post...Jarin came home from school on Thurs. with an ear ache. It has been bothering her a little, on and off, for a couple of weeks. She called the doctor that her Dad and Cori went too, but since she would be a new patient they didn't have an opening until this Tues. So I checked the phone book to see what urgent care clinics were around, and found that CVS has a 'minute clinic'. It was great, went in and got her checked out, got some antibiotics for her ear, and there wasn't a long wait. She had several recurrences of ear aches when we were in Washington state, and I ended up taking her to an ENT doctor who cleaned out her ear. She has been fine since then, until now. All us girls have small ear canals, and it seems to contribute to build up. Well that is enough of that...ha.

Hubby and I did a little shopping this weekend, he got a few sweaters and a heavier coat for work. Didn't buy any presents, but I did order some online.

♫ Baby, it’s cold outside…♫

Jarin made the graphic for me, using a picture she took when we got the snow in Mobile back in February.

Well, Cori has learned how to layer clothing this last week…ha. She is wearing two or three shirts under a sweatshirt to school, plus tights or leggings some days under her jeans.

We all have NC license plates for our vehicles now. Should it really take a week to fax something? I won’t say what company (f0rd) took so long…mine took longer, but it was sent through the mail. Oh well, it is done now…finally…

Then Wednesday evening, I went to put a small load of Cori’s things in the dryer and it wouldn’t turn on….what?! We just bought it when we lived in Washington state. Thursday I searched the internet and it looked like it was just the door switch. We had already had the bulb go out…or so we thought. Well I searched and found the part, watched a video how to change it. Went and got the part, changed it out, and Voila! it worked! So thankful it was something simple. Proud I was able to fix it myself….and the bulb still worked too. Yeah, I could have waited for Hubby to fix it, but there would have probably been more swear words said in the process…ha. The worst part was trying to get the connectors separated.

We are getting some snow...I have been doing the Happy dance and the Snow dance.

At the beginning

It is still coming down lightly, but it is getting dark. Hubby went out to take the trash and that is when we noticed it was snowing. It was around 12:30 then, I didn't think it would start until later in the afternoon or evening. It was a nice surprise.
