The life of Rylie…

Hubby and I have been married almost 25 years (May 31st) and the towel in the first picture, that Jarin uses to dry Rylie after her bath, has been with us the whole time…a little frayed around the edges, but no holes. I’ve had newer, thicker towels that didn’t fair as well…ha. The blue thing on the couch is Jarin’s Spiderman throw…the blue in the second picture is her comforter.

The second picture here is at Grandmama’s (Jean) house…

Poor Rylie has such a hard life…ha.

The second order of business…I am going to add a Y (Sheila Y) to my profile name…I’ve noticed there is another Sheila out there and she is from Winston Salem…what are the odds…ha, so just so there is no confusion I will add a Y to my name…My profile pic is the one of my niece, when she was younger, in the blue bonnets…I’ve used it before so you will probably recognize it.

Have a great weekend,

Sheila

Cute pics...

Okay Mama, here is a bigger picture of the one on my sidebar...that is Chloe with them, the new 'puppy' their Mom got them.

My older brother has shaved his head the last four years for St. B@ldricks, a charity for kids with cancer. He dyes his hair a day or two before. I don't think he dyed it the first year, but the next year it was green (they shave on St. Patrick's day), last year pink and this is this year's colors.......

I was on the computer saving my newest pictures onto my external hard drive, so I thought I'd go ahead and post.

We heard from our real estate guy yesterday...someone stole our largest heat pump unit from the house we are selling in Mobile. It is a two story house and it has a larger unit for downstairs and a smaller unit for upstairs. It just nearly makes you sick but what can you do?

Have a great day,
Sheila

Saturday shopping...

We had a nice day yesterday. Hubby and I went shopping. We finally got our Cuisinart K-cup coffee brewer. The first thing I fixed on it was some English breakfast tea, which is what Jarin tried too. Hubby has tried several coffees and I’ve tried a regular and a decaf. We are enjoying it. We bought it at Bed, B@th and Beyond, and then we went to Kohl’s and Hubby got some slacks and short sleeve shirts for work. At Pier Imports we found some cute multi-colored stackable bowls and some stackable coffee cups in wire racks. We also looked around World Market. I’ve been looking at different vacuum cleaners and I think I have decided on the one I want. They have it cheaper at the BB and B store than online, but I am going to wait until I get a 20% off coupon before I get it…ha.

After all the shopping was done we headed to ‘Lonest@r’ to eat. I had the filet mignon with sautéed mushrooms and twice-baked potato and Hubby had Texas ribeye with twice-baked potato and a salad. I also enjoyed a blackberry-strawberry margarita. Jack I thought of you while we were there…ha…because of the steak, not the margarita…

Have a great week,
Sheila

Looks like Spring has sprung...

Well it has been awhile hasn’t it? We are still here and doing fine. I’ve been trying to get some of my books read. I bought a couple of Christmas ones that I didn’t get to read until after Christmas, but I still enjoyed them, especially one called ‘The Christmas Pearl’. I am reading one now that I got from my Sister-in-law Iliana at Christmas…it’s a fiction book based on the family of Jacob from the bible called ‘The Red Tent’. I am really enjoying it too. I think Cori is going to read it when I am done, then we can take it home for Mom to read this summer. I have been keeping up with all my blogs, just been sporadic about commenting.

Jarin and Cori both had doctor visits with cold this past month. Jarin had to go back to the Ophthalmologist after her headaches and vision problems came back. She went last Friday for an MRI and MRV with and without contrast. She’s been through it all before, just has to be done to diagnose and treat since it’s been so long since her last time. But prayers are always welcome.

It’s beginning to look and feel like spring here. 80’s today, 70’s tomorrow then I think back into the 50’s for Sunday. So I thought it was time to give up winter and bring on the flowers. But I'll be back snow dancing come next winter...ha.

Riding around a couple of weekends ago we found a nice seafood restaurant in Advance…we noticed after we came out that there was a steak house close by too.

Okay I’ll close for now,
Take care,
Sheila
